Malaysia is one of Sri Lanka's principal trading partners and ranks among the country's leading sources of foreign investment. The total export value from Sri Lanka to Malaysia was USD 75.3 Mn in 2025, and total imports from Malaysia to Sri Lanka for the same period were USD 969 Mn. Malaysia is the 06th import origin for Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka’s exports to Malaysia have rapidly decreased by 14.04% in 2025 compared to the year 2024. Imports from Malaysia have increased by 41.4% in 2025 when compared to the year 2024.
